Saturday July 11th, 2009 the 7th annual IBCA-IHSAA Girl's Underclass Showcase was held with over 100 student/athletes and coaches from the Northeast to the Southland to the Rocky Mountain area and throughout the Midwest in attendance at Ben Davis High School.
The girls went through warm-ups with Methodist Sports Medicine then broke into groups consisting of coaching on transition defense and offense, a Noah Shooting station, contain, protect and contest, rebounding 4 on 4 and 1 on 1 Moves and Ballhandling.
After completing the station work the girls then went to compete against each other in the first and second session of games the girls then went to have lunch and listen to the NCAA's Joyce Thompson giving information to the players after having lunch.
After a third session of games the girls met at the east end of the fitness center and listen to April McDivitt Foster of the Champions Academy speak on, "A mission to build skills to achieve optimal success."
A fourth session of games concluded the day of it's physical activities the NOAH shooting computer hand-outs and an explanation to their results were given to the student/athletes.

Special thanks to the event coordinator Scott Kreiger and to Steve Witty, Executive Director of the IBCA, Marty Johnson, Assistant Executive Director, Renee Turpa, VP Women's Basketball, Tom Beach, President IBCA and Kathie Layden, Assistant VP of Women's Basketball.
