Juhasz Named Preseason All-Big Ten, Buckeyes Predicted Fifth

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State’s two-time All-Big Ten honoree Dorka Juhasz is a consensus selection to the 10-member Preseason All-Big Ten Team as selected by both the conference’s head coaches and the media.

 

As a team, the Buckeyes were predicted to finish fifth in both polls.

 

Juhasz is the first Buckeye in program history to lead the team in both scoring and rebounding in each of her first two seasons. She was named to the Big Ten All-Freshman Team and was a second team All-Big Ten honoree in 2019 while earning first team accolades last season. The Hungary native averaged 13.2 points and 9.4 rebounds during the 2019-20 campaign and was fourth in the Big Ten with 10 double-doubles.

 

Juhasz is arguably the most versatile post player in the conference as she is both a threat in the paint and on the perimeter. She was one of just three players 6-4 or taller nationally last season with 40 three-pointers made and she shot over 51 percent from inside the arc.

 

This season, Juhasz will again lead a team that returns all five starters, finished 21-12 and made a run to the championship game of the Big Ten Tournament.
