Bednarik Award

Player of the Week

LB – Jacob Rodriguez

Texas Tech

Jacob Rodriguez played a crucial role in the Texas Tech win over Arizona. Rodriguez recorded 13 total tackles, 1 sack, and 1 forced fumble. In addition, he was also the highest-graded PFF defensive player across the nation in week six of college football. He ultimately turned the tide for the Red Raiders with a pivotal forced fumble late in the game, leading to a Texas Tech two-score lead in the game’s final minutes. Rodriguez and the Texas Tech team look to carry this momentum into the bye week before they host the Baylor Bears on October 19th.
