Each week during the 2025 season the Maxwell Football Club will recognize an outstanding performance by a college freshman with the Shaun Alexander Freshman Player of the Week award. The Shaun Alexander Player of the Week will be recognized for overall performance on offense, defense or special teams and players selected do not have to be represented on the Shaun Alexander Award preseason watch list.

WR – Parker Livingstone

Texas

Freshman WR Parker Livingstone has been named the Shaun Alexander Player of the Week after his breakout performance in Texas’ 38-7 home-opening victory against San Jose State. The Texas native caught four passes for 128 receiving yards and two touchdowns, averaging an explosive 32.0 yards per reception. His 83-yard reception stands as the fourth-longest by a Texas freshman in program history and the longest since 2015.

Livingstone’s two touchdowns came within just under three minutes of each other in the first quarter, sparking the Longhorns to an early 14-0 lead. Livingstone is the third Longhorn to have multiple receiving touchdowns in the first quarter of a game in the last 30 years. He now leads Texas with 175 receiving yards, 29.2 yards per reception, and three touchdown receptions this season. His Shaun Alexander Player of the Week honor highlights both his immediate impact in the Longhorns’ offense and his potential as one of college football’s most exciting young receivers.
