The States Best Underclassmen to Play in the 18th Annual Indiana Boys All-Star Basketball Classic at Anderson University

      The 18th Annual Indiana All Star Boys Basketball Classic will take place this Friday at the OC Lewis Gymnasium at the Kardatzke Wellness Center on the Campus of Anderson University. 39 Juniors and 41 Freshman and Sophomores from around the State of Indiana are scheduled to participate as 80 of the Top Boys Basketball Underclassman showcase their talents to Fans and College Coaches.

      There will be 4 Boys Games with two Juniors games starting at Noon and 2 PM followed by two futures games at 4:30 PM and 6::30 PM. All games will be streamed on the Indiana Sports Network which are available on Facebook Live, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV+, Google Chrome Cast and You Tube.  For more information on Indiana Sports Network visit www.indianasportsnetwork.com and www.indianasportsnetwork.net.

      “Looking forward to year 18 for our Event at Anderson University” Steven Stremming Said.  The event started at New Castle High School, relocated to Anderson University and has been a staple on the Father’s Day Weekend Calendar ever since. ” Anderson University has been a critical element for our event success and we are pleased to return and of course the coverage that is provided around the state” Stremming Said.

     The Teams will be divided into the White and Red Teams with the Red Team being the Home Team on the Scoreboard for each game. In the First Juniors Game at Noon the White Team will be TJ Davis from Indianapolis Shortridge, Trey Bennett from Frankton, Jayvon Irby from FW South, Zion See from Peru, Kendrick Martin from Liberty Christian, Trey Page from Sheridan, Nash Sigmund from Decatur Central, Kellen Crim from Morristown, Aiden Schaumburg from Rossville and Jeremiah Bellamy-Lawrence Central with Head Coach Norman Anderson, Liberty Christian. The Red Team will be Devin Bolden from Indianapolis Ritter, Jayden Comer from Jay County, Owen Garber from Lapel, Lane Hook from Caston, Terrance Jordan from Fort Wayne South, Tywaine Fuller from Liberty Christian, Kyle Edwards from Whiteland, Mason Trammel from Yorktown and Braylon Bennett from New Castle with Head Coach Kevin Cherry of Lapel.

 

In the Second Juniors Game at 2 PM The White Team will be Azarion Lemons of Michigan City, Ari Sahm of Indianapolis Bishop Chatard, Holden Russell of West Washington, Carter Crum of Parke Heritage, Chase Devine of Bremen, Blake Hammond of Terre Haute North, Noah Kloska of Saint Thomas More, Scout Gray of South Dearborn and James Hughes of Batesville with Head Coach Brad Moorhead of South Dearborn. The Red Team will be Kamdon Partenheimer of Forest Park, Dennis Moran III of Portage, Coby Sykes of Eastern Greene, Chase Winkler of Frontier, Tavar Baskerville of New Haven, Mannon Gant of Henryville, Jaxon McKain of Boonville, Wyatt Adams of South Dearborn, Daniel Miller of Tri West, Zahden Zowd of Yorktown and King McLaurin of Indianapolis George Washington with Head Coach Mark Detweiler of Delta.

 

In the First Futures game at 4:30 PM which is the third game of the day. The White Team will be Larry Upshaw Jr of Michigan City, Noah Washington of New Albany, Ashton Brobston of Frankton, Naji Meux of East Chicago Central, Charles Hardiman of Merrillville, Eli Gilpin of South Ripley, Logan Mollenkopf of Caston, Walker Johnson of Delta, Kingston Galentine of Heritage, Liam Ko of Lapel and Jonah Martin-Rock Creek/ Jeffersonville with Head Coach Kevin Cherry of Lapel. The Red Team will be Karson Stoudemire of New Albany, Quintyn Voltz of Princeton, LeJordan Fowler of Mishawaka, Mehki Gillis of East Chicago Central, Raymond Bowling of Anderson, Braysen Russell of Madison, Brady Bishop of West Central, Jaxson Johnson of Delta, Jordan Yates of Indianapolis Tindley and Alonzo Smith of Avon with Head Coach Mark Detweiler, Delta.

 

The Final Game of the Day at 6:30 PM which is the Second Futures game. The White Team will be Don Bowling III of Anderson, Vaschon Clark of Hamilton Southeastern, Chandon Gilbert of Lawrence North, Johnovan Smith of Crawfordsville, Teagan Leonard of North Vermillion, Rayveon Feltz of Blackford, Camden Thoman of Shelbyville, Lavell Love of Decatur Central, Luke Morgan of Monroe Central and Maddox Melton of New Castle with Head Coach Donnie Bowling of Anderson. The Red Team will be Manu Jackson of Anderson, Tristian Lloyd of Indianapolis Cathedral, Davis Baker of Lawrence North, Ryan Lynch of Delta, DJ Nash of Kokomo, Jaylin Foster of Indianapolis Scecina, Colin Cook of Northwestern, Daniel Selking of Belmont, Kamaries Allen of Liberty Christian, Cris Freitas of Lebanon with Head Coach Norman Anderson of Liberty Christian.

    With the changing landscape of College Sports and more changes to come Stremming sees how important this event is to the future of young athletes looking to get to the next level. “Our team saw the changes the NCAA were about to make years ago, so it’s important more than ever, to present our student athletes for college coaches both Girls and Boys to evaluate.”

   With Division 1 programs using the transfer portal to rebuild their rosters each season Stemming uses this event as way for the players and smaller colleges to be seen and evaluate talent. “the Power Five (5) are using the transfer portal to their advantage” Stremming Said.

  Coaches can attend the games or watch the Indiana All-Star Basketball Classic and as the case every year there are a lot of eyes on this event. ” Our Product in the floor is what Mid Majors, Low-Mid Majors and NAIA, D2, D3, Christian Colleges, and HBCU (Historically Black Colleges and Universities are looking for more than ever!” Stremming Said.

  The teams and games are always competitive and those who attend in person or watch on the Indiana Sports Network are treated to 2 days of the best talent that classes of 2027, 2028 and 2029 from around the State of Indiana has to offer. “We have another strong and capable group of student athletes ready to showcase their skills to the coaches, not only to the coaches in person, but the colleges who turn into our broadcast of the game through the Indiana Sports Network” Stremming Added.
