Indiana and Penn State Earn Weekly Men’s Basketball Honors
Indiana’s Jackson-Davis and Penn State’s Stevens claim weekly awards
Player of the Week
Lamar Stevens, Penn State
F – Sr. – 6-8 – Philadelphia, Pa. – Roman Catholic – Major: Sociology
- Led No. 22 Penn State to a 2-0 week with a 75-70 road win at No. 16 Michigan State, scoring a team-high 24-points, and followed with a career- and game-best 33 points in a win over Minnesota
- Averaged 28.5 points, 7.0 rebounds and 38.0 minutes in the two contests
- Against the Spartans, scored 13 points in the second half, including 4-for-4 from the foul line in the game’s final 16 seconds; also grabbed seven rebounds, six in the second half, and handed out three assists to help the Nittany Lions to their fifth-straight conference win and third consecutive Big Ten road win
- Posted a career-high 33 points versus Minnesota with 16 coming in the second half as Penn State held off a Minnesota comeback attempt for their sixth-straight Big Ten Conference win, the longest Big Ten win streak in program history
- Scored 30 or more points for the third time in his career, tying him for sixth on Penn State’s career list for 30-point games
- Took over Penn State’s career field goal record from Jesse Arnelle (1951-55) against Michigan State and now has 745 career field goals
- Earns the second Player of the Week accolade of his career

- Recorded 16 points, eight rebounds and shot .444 from the field for Indiana in front of 17,222 fans at Assembly Hall on Saturday
- Also added four assists and three blocks against Purdue
- Earns the fourth Big Ten Freshman of the Week honor of his career

• Averaged 18.0 points, 7.3 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game with a .719 field-goal percentage and a double-double to help No. 13/12 Maryland to three Big Ten wins last week
• Posted a double-double with 21 points and 11 rebounds in the Terrapins’ Feb. 6 win at No. 18/22 Indiana
• Registered game highs of 16 points and eight rebounds in Sunday’s victory over Rutgers
• Added 17 points and four assists in a Feb. 3 win over Michigan State
• Earns her fourth Big Ten Player of the Week award and second this season

Naz Hillmon, So., F, MICH: Posted a double-double with 19 points and 12 rebounds in Michigan’s win over Purdue on Feb. 6
Abby Laszewski, Sr., F, WIS: Averaged 25.5 ppg. and 7.0 rpg. with a .643 field-goal percentage last week, registering career-high scoring totals in consecutive games (25 vs. Minnesota, 26 at Ohio State)

• Averaged 18.3 points, 4.3 rebounds and 7.3 assists per game with a .528 field-goal percentage as No. 13/12 Maryland stretched its current winning streak to nine games with three Big Ten victories last week
• Scored a career-high 22 points and added eight assists and six rebounds in the Terrapins’ Feb. 3 win over Michigan State
• Had 19 points and five assists in a Feb. 6 win at No. 18/22 Indiana
