Talk about a wacky game, well we had one here tonight in the Ford Center in Evansville, Indiana.
The first half saw the Purple Aces run away and hide as they shot out to a 40 to 18 halftime lead.
What ever Ball State Head Coach Whitford said to the Cardinals resonated as they outscored Evansville 57 to 39 but it wasn’t enough as the Purple Aces posted a hard fought win at 79 to 75.
The Aces were led by forward DeAndre Williams 29 points and nine boards, guard K J Riley’s 14 points and Sam Cunliffe’s 17.
Ball State was led by 20 from Tahjai Teague along with eight boards and three assists, Ishmael El Amin’s 15, Kyle Maller’s 11 and Jaron Coleman’s 10.
