Player of the Week

• Posted back-to-back career-high point totals in a pair of road wins for the Terps at Northwestern and at Indiana
• Averged 27.0 points, 11 rebounds and 1.5 blocks, while shooting .630 from the field and .545 from the 3-point line in two Terp victories
• Scored 25 points (9-of-9 FTs) and grabbed 11 rebounds in the Terps’ comeback win over Northwestern
• Poured in 29 points (10-of-14 FGs) and added 11 rebounds in the win at Indiana
• Earns the first Player of the Week accolade of his career; was a three-time Freshman of the Week honoree in 2018-19

Freshman of the Week

Kofi Cockburn, Illinois

C – Fr. – 7-0 – Kingston, Jamaica – Oak Hill Academy (Va.) – Major: General Studies

• Averaged 13.5 points, 9.0 rebounds and 1.5 blocks in a pair of road wins at Purdue and at Michigan
• Helped Illinois extend the Big Ten’s longest winning streak to six during a memorable week that saw the Illini win in West Lafayette for the first time in 11 seasons and win in Ann Arbor for the first time in 10 years
• Posted game-highs of 22 points and 15 rebounds along with 3 blocks in the win at Purdue, to record his eighth double-double of the season
• Illinois has now won six straight Big Ten games for the first time since setting a school record with 25 consecutive conference wins spanning the 2004 and 2005 seasons (Jan. 31, 2004 – March 3, 2005)
• Illinois is off to its best nine-game start in the Big Ten (7-2) since starting 15-0 in 2005
• Earns the seventh Big Ten Freshman of the Week honor of his career
• Becomes the first Illinois player in Big Ten history to earn Freshman of the Week seven times in one season
