In what could be, and this is kind to say; a game that could be called, a comedy of errors.
Butter fingers, lack of concentration, bad shots, bad passes it all was displayed in the first half, and well, the entirety of the game inside a packed Mackey Arena. (Attendance 14,804)
There were moments though that good basketball was played.

In particular, the last minutes of the first half and the first minutes of the second half for Purdue and near the end of the game for the Hoosiers.
First off, the winning Boilermakers strung together a strong run late in the first half and the first minutes of the second half when they ran off 12 straight points to open up a 29 to 20 halftime lead behind the shooting of Eric Hunter, Jr. and the dominant inside presence of Trevion Williams.

The first minutes saw the Boilers score five straight points to open up a 34 to 20 lead which caused the Hoosiers to call a needed timeout.
Indiana did not close the margin until Williams was substituted out and the Hoosiers closed the gap to five points.
Williams was reinserted back onto the floor and Purdue opened up the gap to produce the final margin.
Indiana went 10 minutes and 14 seconds in the second half of not scoring a field goal.
Williams scored a game high 19 points and eight boards while Hunter hit eight out of seventeen field goal attempts and four out of six charity tosses.

Indiana was led by Devonte Green who scored 11 points but hit only three out of fifteen shots from the floor, including a three for fourteen from behind the arc.
Purdue and Indiana are probably looking from the outside trying to get into the NCAA tourney.
