Ohio State came into the final game of day one at Banker’s Life Field House looking to win and playing a game in the Quarter Finals of the BiG Ten Women’s Conference Championship presented by SoFi.

Ohio State started quickly as balance was the key that vaulted them into a early 23 to 11 lead at the first break.
Minnesota, coached by Lindsay Whalen’s Gophers didn’t wilt as they picked their pace up as well and closed the Ohio State lead to just six at the break 39 to 33.

Ohio State then hit all cylinders as Head Coach Kevin McGuff’s team pulled away and placed a solid 77 to 56 win on the board and a spot versus second seeded Iowa on Friday night at 9 p.m.
Dorka Juhasz scored six points but pulled down 14 boards and swatted away four shots in the win.
Freshman Jacy Sheldon and Aaliyah Patty both led the Buckeyes with 15, Janai Crooms added fourteen on six of seven field goal attempts while Braxtin Miller added 13.

Ohio State shot 43.1% from the field for the game while Minnesota shot 32.3% percent from the field.
Minnesota was led by Jasmine Powell with 14, Jasmine Brunson 11 and Gadiva Hubbard’s ten.
