The day after Hurricane Helene made a dash through Indiana causing damage from the Ohio River    to the north, the Nebraska Cornhuskers and the Purdue Boilermakers hooked up at Ross Ade Stadium in West Lafayette, Indiana.

The game featured a plethora of flags from start to finish as both teams looked to be out of sorts, as was the weather.

Purdue was whistled for 13 infractions that resulted in 165 total penalty yards. Six of those were for pass interference alone.

Though Purdue got on the scoreboard first with a 45-yard field goal from Spencer Provath in the third quarter to give the Boilers the edge, but Nebraska countered from a Dylan Raiola scoring strike of six yards to Jahmal Banks to secure the lead the Huskers would never give up.
