
Northwestern’s Himon Secures Win in overtime

Purdue had a opportunity to claim victory in overtime, but when a fourth down pass failed, after a go-ahead field goal wasn’t attempted, Northwestern then took their opportunity, and the Wildcats succeeded when quarterback Jack Lausch connected with Joseph Himon II for a game-winning 22-yard reception.

Himon scored twice in the game, that also included a 51-yard scamper that put the Wildcats up 10-3.
Himon rushed for 78 yards on six carries, caught three Lausch passes for another 34 yards.
Lausch would end his day 23 of 35 pass attempts for 250 yards and a touchdown toss.
Cam Porter led the Wildcats with 85 reception yards on eight catches.
Purdue’s Hudson Card was 21 of37 passes for 267 yards and a lone touchdown pass.

Max Klare led the Boilers receivers with 78 yards on six catches.

Northwestern improves to 4 and 5 with remaining games set against Ohio State at Wrigley Field, November 16th and tilts against Illinois and Michigan.
Purdue falls to a one and seven record for the season.
