Purdue Finishes Sweep in Northwest 65 to 58

After (#17 Excel H Sports) Oregon Ducks scored the first two points of the second half, the (#13 Excel H Sports) Purdue Boilermakers scored 11 straight points, started by a Caleb Furst dunk, followed by a Trey Kaufman-Renn basket and a triple by Cam Heide and held the Ducks scoreless for eight (8) minutes and 23 seconds, opening a lead they would not relinquish.

Kaufman-Renn opened the game zero for his first six shots before ending the day with his next seven field goals out of fourteen attempts. Kaufman-Renn finished the game 23 points and a perfect nine of nine free throw attempts.

Braden Smith keep his solid year going as he scored 15 points, seven assists and four steals on his game line.

Cam Heide would score nine points that included a four of five afternoon at the line.

Giacarri Harris came off the Purdue bench to score five points on charity makes.

Nate Bittle led the Ducks with 18 points followed by Jackson Shelstad’s 15 and Brandon Angel’s ten.

Purdue moves to seven and one (7-1) in the B1G and fifteen and four (15-4) overall while Oregon drops to four and three (4-3) in conference play and fifteen and three over-all.
