Maxwell Award

Player of the Week

QB Jalen Milroe

Alabama

Jalen Milroe delivered an outstanding performance against Wisconsin on Saturday leading the Crimson Tide to a 42-10 victory. Milroe recorded his third straight game of at least two passing and two rushing touchdowns against the Badgers on Saturday afternoon. He is the first quarterback to achieve this remarkable stat since 2012. Milroe currently leads the nation in total touchdowns with 14. Through the first three games, Milroe has thrived under the new Kalen DeBoer offense and looks to keep things rolling against the Georgia Bulldogs in an epic SEC showdown on September 28th.

Bednarik Award

Player of the Week

EG Antwaun Powell-Ryland

Virginia Tech

Antwaun Powell-Ryland had a standout performance in Virginia Tech’s 37-17 victory over Old Dominion on Saturday. He was a dominant force on the defensive line, recording four sacks and forcing two fumbles, one of which he recovered. His relentless pressure on the quarterback severely disrupted the ODU offensive rhythm and was crucial for the overall defensive success. Powell-Ryland’s performance tied the Virginia Tech sack record for a game, highlighting the importance of his defensive disruptions moving forward.
