The 18th Annual Indiana All Star Girls Basketball Classic will take place this Saturday at the OC Lewis Gymnasium at the Kardatzke Wellness Center on the Campus of Anderson University. 34 Juniors and 41 Freshman and Sophomores from around the State of Indiana are scheduled to participate as 75 of the Top Girls Basketball Underclassman showcase their talents to Fans and College Coaches.
There will be Four Girls Games with two Juniors games starting at Noon and 2 PM followed by two futures games at 4:30 PM and 6::30 PM. All games will be streamed on the Indiana Sports Network which are available on Facebook Live, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV+, Google Chrome Cast and You Tube. “Looking forward to year 18 for our Event at Anderson University” Steven Stremming Said. The event started at New Castle High School, relocated to Anderson University and has been a staple on the Father’s Day Weekend Calendar ever since. ” Anderson University has been a critical element for our event success and we are pleased to return and of course the coverage that is provided around the state” Stremming Said.
The Teams will be divided into the White and Red Teams with the Red Team being the Home Team on the Scoreboard for each game. In the First Juniors Game at Noon the White Team will be Laela Dietzer of Alexandria, Aubrey Stoll from Maconaquah, Olivia Conklin from Yorktown, McKenna Yadon from Benton Central, Delaney Betzner from Maconaquah, Te’Asia Briscoe from Purdue Poly Englewood, Modelene Campbell from Daleville, Jocelyn Eskew from Indianapolis Shortridge, Shania Curry from Ben Davis and Ellie Oliver from Indian Creek with Head Coach LaTrice Crawford of Purdue Poly Englewood. The Red Team will be Olivia Pratcher from Daleville, Ja’Niyah Rogers from Purdue Poly Englewood, Satyra Scott from Kokomo, June Berkenstock from Hauser, Amelia Story from Purdue Poly Englewood, Ireland Kile from Maconaquah, Lilly Braun from Indianapolis Bishop Chatard, Macy Loy from North Central, Jailen Bowling from Brebeuf Jesuit, McKenzi Rutland from North Central and Olivia Stowers from Beech Grove with Head Coach Ray Davis from Maconaquah.
In the Second Juniors Game at 2 PM The White Team will be Saniya Smith from Indianapolis Pike, Amya Henry from South Bend Adams, Kendal Hill from South Knox, Alexis Harris from South Spencer, Kaylie Harmon from Columbus North, Hailey Conder from South Central Elizabeth, Mya Turner from Fremont, Calleigh Reese from John Glenn, Mia Hurford from John Glenn, Rylee Canaan from South Spencer, Layla Gomez from Southmont, Ivy Henderson from Crown Point and Audrina Dugan from East Central with LaTrice Crawford from Purdue Poly Englewood. The Red Team will be Grace Scharlach of Fremont, Mackenzie Collins of Leo, Jayda Kempf from Our Lady of Providence, Grace Detweiler of South Knox, Rian David of East Noble, Sapphira Thompson-Woods of Morgan Township, Cailyn Tunis of North Judson San Pierre, Taylor Mack of Eastside, Aleah Szymanski of West Lafayette Harrison and Claire Brock Brownstown Central with Head Coach Whitney Combs from North Judson San Pierre.
In the First Futures game at 4:30 PM which is the third game of the day. The White Team will be Aziara Easley from Vincennes Lincoln, Lexi Scott from Evansville North, Ariana Rowell from South Bend St. Joseph, Caroline Yenne from North Knox, Lily Maxwell from Elkhart Christian, Kambry Shoults from Northview, Jaycie Archer from Linton Stockton, Kendall Freeman from Owen Valley, Averey Elijah from Kouts, Teagan Baer from Northfield and Jillian Beaderstadt from Lake Central with Head Coach Trace Temples from Owen Valley. The Red Team will be Ava Richter from Crown Point, Jaliayh Farmer from Evansville Harrison, Maleah Lengacher from North Daviess, Mallory O’Brien from Rossville, Katherine Lehr from Bloomington North, Aubrey Sparks from Owen Valley, Kyla Yordy from Elkhart Christian, Kendall Vanderwal from Angola, Braelly Stagnlia from Austin and Hillary Labis from Westville with Head Coach Whitney Combs from North Judson San Pierre.
The Final Game of the Day at 6:30 PM which is the Second Futures game. The White Team will be Kaylee Davis from Southern Wells, Carlee Lanzer from New Castle, Jhordyn Brown from Kokomo, Lillian Clark from Westfield, Aberee Ervin from Monroe Central, Mayliah Evans from Indianapolis Pike, Addison Blum from Hamilton Heights, Riley Suarez from Hamilton Heights, Reid Helman from Shenandoah and Olivia Maynard from Indianapolis Bishop Chatard with Head Coach Trace Temples from Owen Valley. The Red Team will be Savayah Mitchell from Indianapolis Pike, Mallori McColley from West Lafayette Harrison, Reagan Ferris from Indian Creek, Khole Dick from Bluffton, Bri Deidrich-Williams from Fort Wayne Northrop, Luci Reich from Huntington North, Zoie Walls from Monrovia, Kylah Kendall from South Bend Adams, Zoe Peyton from Lawrence North and Conleigh Davidson from Alexandria with Head Coach Gary Andrews from Huntington North.
With Division 1 programs using the transfer portal to rebuild their rosters each season Stemming uses this event as way for the players and smaller colleges to be seen and evaluate talent. “D1 power 5 Coaches are using the transfer portal to their advantage” Stremming Said.
Coaches can attend the games or watch the Indiana All-Star Basketball Classic and as the case every year there are a lot of eyes on this event. ” Our Product in the floor is what Mid Majors, Low-Mid Majors and NAIA, D2, D3, Christian Colleges, and HBCU (Historically Black Colleges and Universities are looking for more than ever!” Stremming Said.
The teams and games are always competitive and those who attend in person or watch on the Indiana Sports Network are treated to 2 days of the best talent that classes of 2027, 2028 and 2029 from around the State of Indiana has to offer. “We have another strong and capable group of student athletes ready to showcase their skills to the coaches, not only to the coaches in person, but the colleges who turn into our broadcast of the game through the Indiana Sports Network” Stremming Added.
