The Maryland Terrapins and Indiana played a tight, hard fought first half before Brenda Freses’ team put the clamps down on Indiana in the third quarter.

Top seeded Maryland held the Hoosiers to zero points in six minutes and fifty four seconds in that span and outscored Indiana 17 to zero.

Maryland’s best scoring run of the night was that third quarter blitz while they led over thirty four minutes in the game.
Indiana turned the ball over 19 times to Maryland’s 14 but the Terrapins outscored Indiana 31 to 10 bench points and scored 15 fast breaks to Indiana’s zero.
Maryland would go on and post a solid 66 to 51 win in front of a large Indiana crowd in Banker’s Life Field House.
Freshman Diamond Miller led Maryland with 15 points while fellow freshman Ashley Owusu scored 14 more points in support.

Adding support was Glenn Dale, Maryland Senior Kaila Charles with 11 while Stephanie Jones added nine points and Shakira Austin added seven.

Maryland out rebounded the Hoosiers 44 boards to 31.
Indiana was led once again by Columbus, Indiana Junior Ali Patberg’s 16 points with support coming from Grace Berger and Mackenzie Holmes with ten a piece.
Maryland goes for the BiG Ten Conference Championship Sunday night against Ohio State.
