
The States Best High School Boys Underclassmen Display Their Talents at Anderson University

Top Underclassmen were on display Friday at Anderson University in Anderson, Indiana for the 17th annual Indiana Boys Basketball All-Star Classic sponsored by Excel H Sports which is owned by Co-Founder and Executive Director Steven Stremming. The Classes of 2026, 2027 and 2028 were on display to showcase their skills not only to fans but to college coaches.
The event features four games with the first two featuring the States top Freshman and Sophomores followed by the States Top Juniors taking the floor for the final two games. The teams were divided into Team Red and Team White and are balanced out based on skills set and the number of players available to each team.
Team White owned both futures games winning 90-65 in Game 1 and 104-59 in Game 2 over Team Red. There were Most Valuable Player Awards and Fellowship of Christian Athletes Award handed out for both teams in each game. The Red Team won both Juniors games which was Game 3 of the Day 93-86 and Game 4 was 103-86.
In Game 1 Devin Bolden from Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter scored 28 points and was named the MOP for the White Squad. Bolden is 6-8 and scored most of his buckets underneath the basket and went 6-8 from the free throw line. Rayevon Fetz from Mississinewa scored 21 points and was named the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Award Winner. Coby Sykes from Eastern Greene scored 13 points and drained three 3 pointers in the fourth quarter and Kyle Edwards from Whiteland added 10 points.
A.J. Jones from Indianapolis Crispus Attucks was named the MOP for the Red Squad with 12 points. Ryan Miller from Tri-West and Kellen Crim from Morristown were both named Fellowship of Christian Athletes Award Winners. Joshua Henderson from University who was the Class 2A State Runner up scored 12 points and he is the son of Former Indiana University Basketball Star Alan Henderson. Jaedyn Litzlbauer from Indianapolis Metropolitan added 10 points.
In Game 2 Liberty Christian Guard Tywaine Fuller scored 23 points and was named the MOP of the White Squad. Fuller is a quick guard who controlled the pace of the game from start to finish. Karter Kobe from Portage added 22 points and Jaxon McCain from Boonville added 16 points as they were both named Fellowship of Christian Athletes Award Winners. Drew Volz from South Ripley scored 19 points and Landon Reed from Floyd Central scored 17 points. The White Team scored in bunches with 53 first half points and 51 second half points putting on a scoring clinic for the fans.
D.J. Nash from Kokomo scored 18 points and was named the MOP of the Red Squad. Daniel Thomas from Tri-West scored 19 points and was named the Fellowship of Christian of Athletes award winner. Lane Hook of Caston scored 10 points. The Red squad fought hard with 25 third quarter points after scoring 21 first half points.
In Game 3 Ethan Roseman from Class 3A Champions South Bend St Joseph’s scored 17 points and was named the MOP for the second year in a row for the red squad. Cooper Sims from Pendelton Heights 17 points. Roosevelt Franklin from Indianapolis George Washington scored 14 Points and Isaiah Packer from South Bend Riley scored 11 points and were named Fellowship of Christian Athletes Award Winners.
Xavier Wilson from Fort Wayne Snider 19 points and Tyrese Jones from South Bend Riley scored 14 points and were named Co-MOP’s for the White Squad. Pete Socci from Hebron scored 11 points and was named the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Award Winner Grady Gardner from Martinsville scored 14 points and drained four three pointers. Tim Jones from Marion scored 10 points. The Red team scored 33 first quarter points and White team scored 29 third quarter points as both teams wanted to get up and down the floor.
In Game 4 Elijah Wilson of Indianapolis Shortridge scored 21 points had 11 rebounds as he was named MOP of the Red Team. Levi Sawatzky of Goshen drained five three pointers to score 19 points and be named the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Award Winner. Gavin Keller from Hauser scored 19 points Taviar Duerson of Providence Christo Rey scored 18 points, Avery McFarlane from Lakewood Park Christian added 14 points and Jaloni Dixon from Liberty Christian scored 12 points. The Red Squad scored 37 first half points and followed it up with 37 points in the third quarter.
Brennan Miller of Lawrence North scored 24 points and pulled down 11 rebounds and was named the MOP for the White Squad. Caden Claxton of Shelbyville scored 19 points and was named the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Award Winner. Connor Daily of Linton scored 15 points and pulled down 10 rebounds and his high school teammate Paul Oliver added 13 points as their Head Coach Matt Britton coached his players in this game.
It was a great day of All-Star Basketball, and the level of basketball is second to none in the great state of Indiana. These players play hard, fast and do not stop until the clock hits triple zero and a lot of the players that are involved are players that have played before and are invited back and the kids, coaches and parents are thankful and grateful for the opportunity to showcase their talents in and event like this.
