Night Time is Right Time for Boilers in Win

The Purdue Boilermakers won their second consecutive game Saturday night in Ross-Aide Stadium with a 34 to 17 win over the Salukis of Southern Illinois.

This win gives Head Coach Barry Odom is second win in as many attempts.

Devin Mockobee posted his first multi-scoring game in his Purdue career as he rushed for 126 yards on 32 carries while Quarterback Ryne Browne passed for two scores on his way to a 14 of 23 passing night for 170 yards.

Browne connected with Armad Branch for 13 yards and Nitro Tuttle for 29 yards.

George Burham led the receivers with three grabs for 48 yards on the night.

Tahj Ra-El led the Boiler defense with seven total tackles while Mani Powell and Charles Correa added five totals too.

Purdue will have a big test next weekend as the Trojans of Southern California, winners of their first two games by large margins in West Lafayette.
