A J Storr had a career high 30 points for the Badgers to lead them to a victory and a date with Purdue.

Storr was good on ten of sixteen from the floor, including three of five from behind the arc, seven of eight from the charity stripe and six rebounds.

Steven Crowl continued his outstanding play with 19 points on eight of twelve from the field and seven boards.

Max Klesmit added ten points and handed out seven assists.

Tyler Wahl played briefly and did not score.

John Blackwell would score three but was only good on one of eight from the field.

Wisconsin continued their hot three-point shooting with ten makes in twenty-two attempts.

Northwestern was led bynior Daniel Richard (Boo) Buie with 29 and Brooks Barnhizer 13 points and 14 rebounds.

Illinois (24-8) 77 Ohio State (20-13) 74

Illinois trailed Ohio State for the majority of the game but made a huge comeback behind the overall hustle and inside play of Dain Dainja, the complete play of Ty Rodgers and Terrance Shannon, Jr.

Let us start though with the Ohio State Buckeyes who have simply played outstanding basketball since the ouster of Chris Holtmann.

The job Jake Diebler has taken them all the way to the quarterfinals of the tournament and a spot in the upcoming NIT tournament.

Ohio State behind Jamison Battle, Bruce Thornton and Felix Okpara was outstanding against the Illini.

Jamison Battle simply has a rebirth under Diebler and was the leading three-point shooter this season in the B1G.

Against the Illini, Battle would score 21 points on eight of sixteen from the field and lead the Buckeyes in scoring.

Bruce Thornton continued his solid play with 20 points on eight of fourteen shooting and dished ten assists to his teammates.

Felix Okpara recorded ten blocks and swatted four balls away from the Illini.

Illinois came back with the inside play of Minnesota native Dain Dainja who lit the Buckeyes up with 18 points on seven of ten shots and pulled down eight boards.

Ty Rodgers was complete throughout the game and was essential in the Illini win as he scored twelve points and grabbed a team high ten rebounds.

Terrance Shannon, Jr. was the leading scorer in the game with 28 points that included ten of eleven from the line.

Coleman Hawkins had a fabulous last three minutes with big rebounds, deft passes and hitting clutch free throws.

Illinois moves on to the semifinals against either Nebraska or Indiana.

Nebraska 93 Indiana 66   

Huskers Eviscerate Hoosiers in the nightcap of the 2024 B1G Ten Men’s basketball conference championship 93 to 66.

Husker Brice Williams shucked the Hoosiers by hitting everything he put up went in and started the rout of the Hoosiers early.

After Williams started the Huskers off strong then came along Keisei Tominaga who lit it up from deep including a dagger right before the half to put Nebraska up 50 to 27.

For the game Tominaga and Williams both buried four three pointers for the game that led to the Husker onslaught.

Brice Williams and Keisei Tominaga both scored 23 points each. Williams was five of eight from the floor and four of six behind the arc. Williams also was a perfect nine of nine from the line and added steals.

Tominaga went nine of thirteen from the field including four of seven from three point land. Tominaga also handed out five assists.

Jamarques Lawrence continued to be a thorn in Indiana’s side as he scored fifteen points and hit on three baskets from behind the arc.

Juwan Gary was big too as he scored 11 points and hauled in six rebounds.

Reink Mast was strong throughout the game and made Indiana’s Kel’el Ware struggle all game long. Mast would grab seven rebounds and hand out seven assists.

For Indiana, McKenzie Mgbako would score 16 points with a perfect seven of seven from the line. Ware was held to eight points while Malik Reneau fouled out of the game with a little over nine minutes to go in the game with nine points.

C J Gunn would lead the Hoosiers with 17 points but most were long after the contest had been settled.

Nebraska moves on to face Illinois in the Semi-finals.

Indiana is headed to the NIT if they accept a bid.
