Blue Skies, Great Event, Great Times Enjoyed at Grandview



An outpouring of Legends, Golfers and Fans witnessed picture perfect weather for this year’s Legends of Indiana Basketball Golf Classic, a fund raiser for the Indiana Class Basketball All Star Classic, Inc., a 501 (c) (3) Not for Profit at Anderson’s Grandview Golf Course on Friday, August 23rd, 2019.

Fans lined the banquet hall to meet the Legends, shake hands and get that needed autographs.

The 2019 Legends were Ray Craft and Roger Schroder represented the ’54 Milan Team, ’55-’56 Crispus Attucks Bill Hampton, Purdue’s Bruce Parkinson and Jerry Nichols, Brebeuf Jesuit’s Miss Basketball TaShia Phillips and Indiana legend Kent Benson. To everyone’s surprise joining them were Darnell Hillman and Scott Pollard of the Pacers.

The Honorable Anderson Mayor Thomas J. Broderick, Jr. greeted those in attendance to the City of Anderson and the beautiful Grandview Golf Course.

Aaron Black of Presenting Sponsor ESTHER PFLEIDERER CHARITABLE TRUST/1st SOURCE BANK helped present the scholarships to the 2019 recipients.

A superb day of golf was topped of by dinner, trophies and gifts to those winning teams and individuals that included Thrivent Financial, ABC Supply Company (Indianapolis), ECO Vehicle Systems for the Top Three spots and Big Brothers/Big Sisters bringing home the elusive last place award.
