Conlan, Jagiasi and Oweh Added To Men’s Basketball Roster
Three join Nittany Lions ahead of 2021-22 season
UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Three new Nittany Lions have been added to the Penn State men’s basketball roster as Dan Conlan, Ishaan Jagiasi and Kaylen Oweh will join the team as walk-ons ahead of the 2021-22 season.
#0 Kaylen Oweh – Sophomore – 6-2 Guard – North Brunswick, N.J. – Rutgers Prep/St. Thomas Aquinas
Before Penn State
Played one year of college basketball at St. Thomas Aquinas College before coming to Penn State…Saw action in 12 games as freshman in 2020-21…Was a senior captain of his Rutgers Prep high school team, where he accumulated career marks of 700 points, 250 rebounds, 110 assists and 80 steals…Helped lead his high school team to an 80-34 overall record throughout his four years and was an All-League selection.

Full name is Irekefe Kaylen Oweh…Son of Henry and Tania Oweh…Has two older siblings, Natasha and Odafe, and one younger brother, Otega…Older brother Odafe (Jayson) Oweh was an All-Big Ten defensive end on the Penn State football team from 2018-20 and a first round draft pick by the Baltimore Ravens in the 2021 NFL Draft…Majoring in Economics at Penn State.
#15 Dan Conlan – Junior — 6-4 Guard– Sewickley, Pa. – Quaker Valley High School/Dickinson
Before Penn State
Played one season at Dickinson College in 2019-20 before transferring to Penn State…Appeared in 21 games as a freshman at Dickinson, averaging 6.0 points and 1.9 rebounds per contest in 17.8 minutes per game…Was a two-time team captain of Quaker Valley High School who graduated as the fifth all-time leading scorer in school history with 1,252 career points…Led the Quakers to a pair of sectional championship and a 94-18 record throughout his career…Earned third team All-State honors as a senior in addition to All-Section honors in each of the final three years of his career.

Son of Penn State alumni Shane and Caroline Conlan…Father, Shane Conlan, won two national championships as an All-American linebacker on the Penn State football team in 1982 and 1986 before going on to have an illustrious NFL career and being inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2014…Has three older siblings, Pat, Chris and Mary…Majoring in economics at Penn State.
#35 Ishaan Jagiasi – Junior – 6-1 Guard – Wilmington, Del. – Huntington Prep (W.V.)
Before Penn State
Played high school basketball at West Virginia powerhouse Huntington Prep, a school that produced NBA players Miles Bridges, Andrew Wiggins and Thomas Bryant…Played in multiple games for his two years with Huntington Prep, as the Fighting Irish earned the top team ranking in West Virginia, appeared in the national top 25, and finished 21-5 his senior year…Graduated with high honors and a 3.9 GPA.

Son of Anil and Juhi Jagiasi…Of Indian descent, he is the first member of his family to be born in America… Majoring in Economics at Penn State.
