Buie Sinks Huskers with Clutch Shots/Free Throws

In a robust game from both the victorious Northwestern Wildcats and the Nebraska’s Cornhuskers the game was not finally decided till the final seconds after a Boo Buie free throw and a scramble on the floor as time expired.

The Wildcats led at the right time of the game as they rallied from a deficit of 15 points that the Huskers opened up in the first half of the game.
Boo Buie, Junior, Albany, N.Y. led a Wildcat surge in the second half as they outscored Nebraska 46 to 30.
Pete Nance had a solid game from tip to finish as he would a big three point shot near the four-minute mark to give the Wildcats a one-point lead for the first time in the game.

Ryan Young, 6’10, Red-Shirt Junior from Stewardsville, New Jersey would score seven points in a mid to late span of the second half to bolster Northwestern’s comeback.
Buie would lead the Northwestern scoring with 16 while Nance added 14 points, eight boards and a team leading eight assists.
Other Wildcats in the scoring column were Chase Audige nine points, Julian Roper II, eight points, with both Young and Elyjah Williams adding seven a piece.

Nebraska had a very good first half with solid defense and timely plays. One of their keys was the baseline defense the Huskers employed.
Alonzo Verge, Junior, 6’3, Senior, Chicago, Illinois, Arizona State transfer led the Huskers with 21 with Derrick Walker adding 16.

Kobe Webster, 6′, Senior, Indianapolis, Indiana added eight while the McGowan’s (Trey and Freshman sensation, Bryce) would add seven and six points respectively.
Northwestern moves on to play Iowa.
