KENT BENSON IS AN INDIANA
ALL-AMERICAN ONCE AGAIN!
Indiana Basketball Legend Kent Benson is once again an Indiana All-American! He was previously selected as an All-American in 1976 at Indiana University, when he was playing for the great Bobby Knight and went on to finish the season as the 1976 NCAA Champions with an Undefeated 32-0 record! Now, almost 45-years later and still the last NCAA Team to secure an undefeated record, Kent Benson is again an All-American, but this time as the Franchise Owner and Chairman.
Last season Benson partnered with Bob Petty to form the Hoosier Hardwood Basketball Association which included (4) Teams across Indiana. After a miracle season with huge success, David Magley – another former Mr. Indiana Basketball – contacted Benson to join forces with the nationally recognized league the TBL – The Basketball League. The TBL has (43) Teams across the USA which include (4) owners who were former NBA players – #2 NBA Pick Steve Franchise Francis of the Houston Rockets, Kendrick Perkins of the World Champion Boston Celtics and #1 NBA Draft Pick Kent Benson!
Benson states, “we decided to select the best-players from our New Castle NightHawks Team and our Pendleton Legends Team, to form a Super-Team in the TBL.” Benson’s partner Bob Petty said he selected the Team name – INDIANA ALL-AMERICANS – after Benson’s success as a collegiate player at Indiana University. Kent was named All-American (3) times and Academic American (2) times. The All-Americans is the perfect name for our Franchise!”
